Buttercup arrived at Mile High Rescue in June 2024 with a serious diagnosis of laminitis, a painful hoof condition that requires ongoing, specialized care. When she first came to us, her future was uncertain—but with time, patience, and dedicated treatment, she’s made wonderful progress. Today, Buttercup has settled into life at the rescue and has shown her sweet, silly personality. She loves meeting new horses and people and has become a gentle favorite among our herd.
While Buttercup continues to improve, her long-term care is extensive and costly. She requires regular trims every 4-6 weeks, daily medication, and frequent veterinary visits to manage her condition and keep her comfortable. These treatments are essential to her continued recovery, and we depend on sponsors and donors to help cover her ongoing expenses.
If you’d like to make a lasting impact in Buttercup’s life, consider becoming her sponsor. Sponsors are always welcome to visit Buttercup at the barn, spend time with her, and see the difference their support makes. Your sponsorship helps ensure she continues receiving the care she needs—and offers you the chance to connect with a truly special pony whose gentle nature and quirky charm will warm your heart.
