About The Event

Are you ready to have a fun time with your family by running, walking or trotting, to interact with beautiful horses and farm animals all while supporting a good cause, at the Mile High Rescue first annual 5K!  You can enjoy the trail safely on your own time; the official course will be set and marked from 8 a.m. through 1 p.m. on April 25th.

Registrants will receive the trail 5K course map or 1 mile course map, interactive run tracking with RaceJoy(R) app, an event t-shirt, and an opportunity to meet and interact with the Mile High Rescue team and even some local businesses. What is even more fun is after you finish the race there will be snacks and refreshments to enjoy and have a chance to meet and pet Hopscotch our rescue pony!  The first 100 registrations will receive an event T-shirt!

For those of you who aren't able to come onsite but still want to participate ... don't fret, we still have the 5K and 1 Mile options available virtually!  This is offered through RaceJoy(R) app:

Early Bird Pricing through March 31! Cost is $20 for adults over age 19; $10 for kids aged 11 - 18 and free for kids 10 and under.  On April 1st the price will increase by $5.  All proceeds from the event will benefit the rescue horses who were saved from abusive and neglectful environments. Mile High Rescue's vision is to place each of these horses in loving and forever homes.  In addition, Mile High Rescue provides support to horse owners in need and ensure each placement is successful for both horse and owner.

COVID Precautions - We will be following all state and local COVID-19 precautions. Which means the race will be at your leisure from 8 am - 1 pm.  Due to this open time frame it will allow the race to be run in waves and runners/walkers will have to wear a mask at all time while on the premises, but can lower the mask upon the start of the race. There will be hand sanitizing stations on site.   This will all be dependent on the COVID-19 dial on race day!
